DECEMBER 2014 CAROL DOAK NEWSLETTER

It is that time of the year again, when the hustle and bustle of the holidays tend to take center stage. The good part is spending time with family and friends. The not so good part is over extending ourselves to meet expectations.

Going through health issues last year, makes me appreciate this year all the more. But I am appreciating the gift of family and friends and less concerned with the hustle and the bustle part.

I have always found quilting to be relaxing, so perhaps you will find time for yourself to enjoy quilting this holiday.

The Web Store--Click here!

One way to drop a hint of items you would like Santa to bring you for Christmas, is to print out the order form at the beginning of the web store and circle the items you would like. You could casually leave it on the table for others to see.

I am going to place several items on sale this month with huge Savings! The first book is the 300 Paper-Pieced Quilt Blocks. This is a definite must in your paper piecing library. It has a huge variety of blocks and it comes with the Foundation Factory CD to print the foundations in the size you like. Save $10 on this book!

The next on sale books is the 50 Fabulous Paper-Pieced Stars. This book has 50 different and unique star designs. Each star is named for the 50 United States. The book alone is on sale for $17.95, saving you $10. You can purchase the bundle of the book and the Foundation Factory CD to print the foundations for just $33. Don't miss out on the opportunity to add this book and CD to your library.

The last book on sale has to be 50 Little Paper-Pieced Blocks. These small blocks are perfect for inserting inside the Carol Doak Keepsake Cards and sending that very special holiday greeting card. Save $5 this month and purchase this book for only $7.95

Craftsy

Excellent Excellent  December 1, 2014
True
I'm about half way through and although I have done a lot of paper piecing (all self taught) I have learned so many new hints and tricks. Carol is also enjoyable to watch and the videos just fly by! Thank you so much.

Excellent Wonderful  November 9, 2014
I have paper pieced before but have learnt so many tips and tricks and I have only watched the first lesson. Can't wait for the next.

I currently have two courses running at Craftsy. I am so proud of both classes and all the 5-Star Reviews both classes have recieved. It really is a great way to learn and a terrific value considering all the free patterns included with the courses. If you click on the title card for each class, it provides a link for $20.00 off the price of the class!

Carol Doak Quilting Group

You already received a sneak peak of the new Christmas/Holiday Star design I created for the group. Some members have alaready jumped in and made up the block. Barbara is the maker of the stunning red and white star at the beginning of the newsletter.

Suni is the make of the lovely star to the left. I have taken it easy with the group for the past few weeks giving them a chance to assemble their Scrap Scramble tops.

However, after the first of the year, I think we might just jump into a new project. If you want to join in the fun or just come and cheer on the others, click on the name of the group.

Until next time, I pray that your holiday is blessed with good health and friends and family and laughs.

All the best,

Carol
