I decided to make the 300 Paper-Pieced Quilt Blocks the Book of the Month book because it has something for everyone! This is a must have in any paper-piecer's library. It is a super value and jam-packed with block designs. The Foundation Factory CD that comes with the book, gives you all the flexibility you need whether you enjoy making miniature quilts are bed-size quilts. This book will have you paper piecing all year long! Take advantage of the reduced price this month to add this one to your library or give it as a gift.
Please Note: I will not be able to ship product from December 5 through December 13. All orders placed during that period will be shipped on December 15th.

The Carol Doak Yahoo Group

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CarolDoakQuiltingGroup/
What can I say but this group of nearly 4400 wonderful quilters from around the world are so inspiring. I recently uploaded a new 2008 Holiday Ornament Design. It is fun to see the photos of everyone's packages. The ornaments at the top of the newsletter were made by Nancy in Virginia. These are great to hang on the tree, use as gift tags and even insert a little green stuff inside as the gift that includes a gift.

Members just finished up a tea cup swap and now they are working on a Potted Posey Swap.

The Scenic Block of the Month continues to be very popular. Each month, I upload a design, members make the block using their own creative twists and upload a picture. At the end of the month, one participating members wins a prize from me in a random drawing. The November Block offered lots of creative options for members.

Cathy from Maryland really put her personal touches into the block she made for November. How can you not smile when you see her block?

If you would like to join the group, just click on the link above. We will leave the light on.

On the Road - Not Really

I am home all this month and look forward to catching up on lots of things in both my office and sewing room. This has been a super year for me and I look forward to starting off 2009 well rested and ready to teach and lecture.

My best wishes to you all for a joyous and healthy holiday season!
All the best,
Carol
